The firm’s founder, Chris Gafner, has authored legal articles examining the K-1 visa and has contributed to a leading immigration treatise by updating its comprehensive chapter on the K-1 visa for fiance(e)s of U.S. citizens.
Chris Gafner is a graduate of Cornell University and received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame Law School he studied in London, England through the Concannon Program of International Law and was a Cliff Schmitthoff Memorial Scholarship recipient. Following graduation he served as a judicial clerk in the Northern District of New York, where he assisted federal judges. Upon completing his clerkship, Chris Gafner began working in New York City and quickly decided to devote his career to helping immigrants contribute to America’s economic and cultural growth. To that end, he founded Gafner Law Firm, P.C.
Chris Gafner is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (”AILA”) and the Immigration Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (”NYCLA”).
